Programme​

A loyalty programme run on Spaycial, set up for a mall or for a non-mall business.

Mall programme​

A programme where members' purchases in the mall's stores are sent through the customer_transactions webhook.

Non-mall programme​

A programme where all of a member's enriched transactions are sent through the all_transactions webhook, rather than only the purchases made in a fixed set of stores.

Member​

A person registered in a programme (also called a customer in some API field names, for example customerExternalId).

External id​

Your own identifier for a member, a store or a programme (for example customerExternalId), as opposed to the id Spaycial assigns.

Bank connection​

A link between a member and one of their bank accounts, set up through open banking so Spaycial can read their transactions.

Data provider​

The open-banking (or other) provider behind a bank connection.

Raw transaction​

A transaction as sent by the bank: amount, label, date and currency, before Spaycial enrichment.

Enriched transaction​

A raw transaction after Spaycial has added merchant, purchase location and point of sale information.

Enrichment​

The merchant, purchase location and point of sale information Spaycial adds to a raw transaction.

Merchant​

The business a transaction was made with, identified by Spaycial's enrichment.

Point of sale​

The specific place (address, coordinates) where a transaction was made, identified by Spaycial's enrichment.

Receipt​

A scanned till ticket a member submits as proof of a purchase, reviewed to become a transaction.

Claim​

A report filed by a member that a transaction was not taken into account, reviewed by the Spaycial team and either validated or rejected.

Initial transaction​

A transaction sent to set up a store's purchase history, validated or rejected once Spaycial processes it.

Offer​

A loyalty programme offer members can unlock by making eligible purchases.

Reward​

The benefit resulting from progress on an offer, with status started, pending, completed or refunded.

Webhook​

A subscription you register so Spaycial pushes event notifications to a URL you control.

Signature​

The mechanism used to authenticate requests exchanged between your systems and Spaycial's, described in Request signature.
